Combined Defence Services Examination-2015

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will conduct the CDS (Combined Defence Services Examination) for the recruitment of Indian candidates in Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy. All Indian eligible and interested candidates for these Defence jobs may apply before the last date.  All Indian candidates have to submit the application form in the prescribed format only. Before applying for the post, please read the whole post carefully as well as the official Advt. whoes link we share below in the same post.

1). Under Indian Military Academy
Vacancies: 200 Posts

2). Under Indian Naval Academy
Vacancies: 45 Posts

3). Under Air Force Academy
Vacancies: 32 Posts

4). Under Officers Training Academy (Men)

5). Under Officers Training Academy (Women)
Vacancies: 12 Posts

Education: Candidates who possess a Graduate degree from a well-recognized university can apply for this CDS Recruitment exam 2014.

UPSC CDS II Exam 2014: Important instructions for aspirants
The admit cards for UPSC CDS II Examination 2014 have been released on the official website. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on October 26. Candidates qualifying the written exam will be called for interview session.
Candidates should note the following instructions:
  • Candidates should bring the e-admit card in each session to secure admission to examination hall. e-Admit Card may be preserved till the declaration of written result;
  • Candidates will be held responsible for safe custody of the e-admit card and in the event of any other person using this e-admit card, the onus lies on the candidates to prove that they have not used the service of any impersonator;
  • Candidates should enter the examination hall 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination;
  •  Candidates should note that any omission/mistake/discrepancy in encoding filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to roll number and test booklet series code will render the answer sheet liable for rejection;
  • Candidates will not be admitted to the examination if they report 10 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the examination;
  • If candidates appear at a centre/sub-centre other than the one indicated by the Commission in their e-Admit Card, their answer scripts will not be evaluated and their candidature is liable to be cancelled;
  • Mobile phones, calculators or any of the gadgets are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any Infringements of these instructions shall invite disciplinary action including ban from future examinations;
  •  Negative marking is applicable for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective-type question papers;
  • Answers other than those made by 'Black Ball Point Pen' would not be evaluated;
  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card/signatures on the scannable attendance lists will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and three passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the examination with an undertaking;
  • Candidates admitted for the OTA course only but who would appear unauthorized in Electric Maths Paper for CDSE (II), 2014 their answer scripts of Electric Maths paper will not be evaluated.

UPSC CDS II Exam 2014 e-admit cards available online

The e-admit cards for UPSC CDS II Examination 2014 have been released and can be downloaded from there. The official website where the admit cards/hall tickets are available for downloading is:http://upsconline.nic.in/eadmitcard/admit_card.php#hhh1
There are three options available for fetching the admit cards: by registration ID, by roll number and by name. Candidates can select either of the options to avail the admit cards.
On choosing 'Registration ID' option: Candidates will have to insert 11 digit registration ID, date of birth and captcha code.
On choosing 'Roll number' option: Candidates will have to insert 6 digit roll number, date of birth and captcha code.
On choosing 'name' option: Candidates will have to insert their name, father's name, date of birth and captcha code.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting a competitive exam, 'Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam II for short-listing candidates at various posts in the departments such as Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officers Training Academy.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test to be followed by an interview.
Details of the written exam:
For admissions to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:
Subject: Marks: Duration
English: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
General Knowledge: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
Elementary Mathematics: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
For admissions to Officers Training Academy:
Subject: Marks: Duration
English: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
General Knowledge: 100 Marks: 2 hrs
